two steps back.
The buyers backed out of the sale.
It was one of those three-party things.
Neighbor Works.
They buy the house and sell it to a low-income family at zero % interest.
This is why I never trusted it to go through.
The future owners wanted it, but it wasn't them making the decision.
Anyway, I am allowing myself this one day to be disappointed.
Tomorrow the house will go back on the market and we will try again.
In the meantime, nothing has really changed.
I am thankful I still have a house - two actually.
Neither has been taken by fire or storm.
I haven't lost anything but a buyer with a lousy offer to begin with.
I just wanted you to know.
I will be back tomorrow with some things to show and tell.
For now, I welcome the sun to go down on this day.

Oh boy, I feel for you! Real estate deals are one of the real horrors of the world. Hopefully, in the end it will be a good thing and you will get a better offer. There is a buyer out there for everything, just hang in there and eventually he or she will show up.
In the meantime, if you want something to make you smile, stop in at my blog for a nice, little surprise:)
Oh my gosh girl! I hate to hear that. I hope that it will sell soon!
Humbug.....
On a stress level, I think buying and selling a home rates higher than a death in the family. Things beyond anything you can do yourself, dependent on others for deals to go through, but yes, no fire or storm, enjoy your home for today.Cheers from Jean
Hi Michaele...I'm so sorry to read that the sale of your house didn't go through. Your doubts were warranted. Oh well...you never know what tomorrow will bring. All the best to you. Maura :)
PS...I experimented with another blog and I've messed up my Lilac Lane Cottage name! Oh well...at least you know who I am ;)
Bummer. A day to be disappointed and then moving on seems very wise to me.
One of my most used saying applies here, "This too shall pass." You will get a better offer soon. Best wishes.
I'm so sorry to hear! Hopefully this will lead to a better, more reliable sale! Take care:@)
so sorry, i sold real estate in the 90's and know all about sales falling apart, a hard thing to go through. i just asked the Lord to send you a good buyer.
Keep thinking those positive thoughts!
well, i hope you can exit your offer on the little place. timing may work out better, anyway...
Im so sorry. Hang in there. The right people will come and fall in love with and you will then have a good sale. Have a happy 4th!
I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope a better offer that follows through comes around soon!
Well poo!! :(
Hopefully, a better offer will be made and things will progress.
Oh crapper, crapper!!!
I hate real estate deals, absolutely HATE them. We've sold two houses, and I held my breath all the way through them both, even to getting into the car after the closing was over. I exhaled after we drove away. No exaggeration. I HATE real estate deals.
I am SO SO SO SOSOSOSOSO sorry. I am thinking of you and hoping you will get through this ok. Keep your chin up, my friend. If you need anything, I'm here for you!
So, so sorry. What a dissappointment! There must be something better coming.
Oh shoot- that is so disappointing! Maybe a better offer will come along soon!
I'm so sorry...holding thoughts for a much better offer--and soon!
So sorry about that. I hope you have a better (and certain) offer soon.
I'm sorry all this waiting must be very hard. Hugs B
