Update From A Wayward Blogger

Things I have learned this week:

No brand of Duck Tape really sticks well.

It is impossible to dry herbs in the humid summers of Nebraska.

It is just as important to weed as it is to pack for moving.

Sometimes your gut feeling doesn't come until the middle of the night.

A good credit score is just as important in life as a good college education.

I still have my favorite tank top from Teluride Colorado - 1984.

Eating garden peas, while in the garden, is pure bliss.

Every time I tell myself “I can't ”, but then do it anyway, guess what - I can  : )

Things I learned again this week:

Stop thinking I am going to get any help.

What I am waiting for:

To hear back on an offer I made on a 1 bedroom house in town.

To get a call from the appraiser of the acreage so he can get the appraisal in by Friday.
(I am chomping at the bit here)

To hear back from the movers.

To get the plumber back out to the farm house to finish the job.

To get the roofer back out to the farm house to fix his mistakes.

The appraisal and inspections to be done on the house in town (by the seller).

A nice rain.

Time to read your blogs. I have MISSED you.

so you'd buy the 1 bedroom home as a temporary place until your girls graduate? i know you have to stay in town for a while. just a shame...

hope your to-dos at the farm can be done soon! and hope that sale goes thru!

Somehow your post saddens me and encourages me at the same time. You are so right about the credit score.
Hang in there. Obviously, you CAN do it.

We've missed you too! Hope things start moving quickly for you; sometimes waiting is frustrating.
And we really must agree - "Every time I tell myself “I can't ”, but then do it anyway, guess what - I can" - that is the best feeling!

Like a block of cheese, all good things take time.I just hope the time they take for you is not too long, the fix-it-up list gets fixed, the appraisals get appraised, the phone rings with all good news, and most of all,we share with you in your busy-ness.You can do it, believe in your words. Cheers from Jean.

Good luck on the town house and the plumber & roofer. Quality help is so hard to find nowadays.

What I know:
1. Duct tape is good stuff, but it doesn't always work
2. Weeds are rude and don't wait for you to have time to deal with them. But they should.
3. Gut feelings usually sneak up on me at 4 in the morning, when I am sound asleep. That's how I know whatever it is I'm feeling is right. So go with your gut.
4. You can do anything you want, whether you believe you can or not.

What I think:
1. I worry about you buying another house. Won't you be in the same situation again? Can you rent instead?
2. That the roofer should fix his mistakes and the plumber should get on it already ASAP. That's not cool.
3. I was very glad to see your comment. I have hoof prints in the same places, I believe. I dare not sit on the ground in that pen anymore. It's getting dangerous!

I will send you some rain. We've had enough for a little while.

That is quite an education for just one week.

Good wishes with completing your list.

I have missed you! Sounds like you're rolling along.

Our garden peas should start being ready in about a week - now I'm looking forward to it.

good luck with the sale, hope it happens soon. I can't tell you how many times i have said I CAN't and then did it anyway, so why do i always always say I can't do this, then do it. and i get my best gut feelings in the middle of the night

I missed you, too! :)

I hope you get everything accomplished and don't go too crazy from your "to-do" list!

Well, we've missed you too but understand that you have a LOT going on right now! {{HUGS}}
I sure hope the roofer and plumber get their hineys out there and get their work finished and that all the other things come around for you too!

and one thing for certain..I think your too much like me. We seem to do best under stress! Its funny how that works, but stress sure makes a person get stuff done. It also makes you a more direct person when dealing with plumbers and roofers...so let her loose! I wish I lived closer also, I would so help, even if it was for backup while holding a plumbing tool. Never hurts to have backup...No Sireee!
