I had a wonderful Mothers Day.
Sometimes when I work as hard as I did yesterday
there is just nothing left for the next day.
But not so this time.
The weather was sunny with just a slight breeze.
And there is just no way that cannot energize me.
This rose bush is at our house in town.
I got out the wash tubs and planted a few flowers.
I wish all planting was that easy.
I planted the metal sunflowers.
There is another one in the garden.
You can see the house needs painting,
but check out that new roof job.
I had a few visitors.
I don't mind that they stop by unannounced
and find me interesting.
I mowed and mowed some more.
I love the looks of the green "carpet" after.
The farmers fields have a green tint.
The corn is coming up.

I spent some time watching Moab get a shower.
And I videoed him with his ball.
He loves his ball.
I am wondering if he wishes it were more....um....
goose-shaped?

It feels so good to get a whole bunch done. The house in town looks great. What a character that Moab is. I bet he can almost always get a smile out of you. Pretty flowers in the tubs. I need to get some flowers here too. Need some fast color. Hope you had a good Mama's Day.

The video of Moab is a crack up. I had no idea a goose could have so much personality. All the geese I've met have been kinda mean.

Why we are friends:
1. I also plant in galvanized pails. I have three pails and a couple small wash bins. They are my pride and joy.
2. You can appreciate a goose. Most people think I'm crazy because I care for mine.
3. Your house is yellow, which is my favorite color. The roof looks amazing, by the way.
4. Chicken butts are my favorite. Those fluffy feathers look like petticoats to me, and the rear of a chicken is the funniest/most delightful view because of it.
5. A quiet day mowing and planting? Yep, that's ideal here too.

i love Moab and his name and the fact he plays ball. so cute. your house iw wonderful and one i would love to live in. cook sunflower. and the two tubs are what mother and i used to wash clothes with until i was 16 years old and we got a maytag electric. the double tub was for two rinse cycles and a wringer type washer. i hung a many a clothes out f tubs like these. i like your contents better.

I've seen hints of green in the corn fields near me, too. But I haven't had the chance, yet, to go get photos, because I was on the interstate on the way to/from school. One day soon, I'll have to drive out on some of the back country roads to see if I can snap a few shots. ;)
