I needed a place to move the boys.
My intentions were to build a pen
around the small barn.
No such luck.
The weeds were already taller than I was.
I wore myself out chopping
and hadn't yet picked up the post pounder.
While in search of another option
I remembered I had once considered
using the old grain bins for a chicken coop.
Why not a goat pen bin?
Fifteen T posts, 100' of medium duty wire,
all day working in the hot sun while slapping biting flies
and I was done.
Now for the million dollar question.
Would they go inside?
Oh ya. Nothing intimidates a goat.
They went in.
They went out.
They ate.
They approved.
They enjoyed the view.
One more problem solved.

Cool goat pen! And a perfect shelter for them too! You go girl!
There's an excellent use for an old grain bunker. It makes a nice house for them.
A real palace!
Genius. Love the new clubhouse!
good use and that door?? That is a very cool house they have indeed!
What a great find. And it was there all the time. The goats look pretty happy with their new diggs. What a great idea.

What a great idea Michaele! I love the oval door on your grain bin...very different than anything I've ever seen before. Glad the goats love their new 'digs' and it wasn't TOO hard for you to set up. Have a wonderful week!
Maura :)

Great idea to repurpose what you already have.
Sometimes we just have to think differently. I love the last picture. Which goat took it? ;)
