If there is a No Blogger Left Behind Act I am
behind it 100%. I have been gone a little
over a week and feel like I am so out of the loop I questioned coming
back. Hopefully you are all still
healthy and happy and your animals are the same.
We are for certain healthy and happy here and working at
staying that way. Our schedules are busy and hectic but so far we are managing. The girls both work now and it is quite a
feat trying to remember who works where and when and get them to and from, even
if they aren’t told exactly when they will get off. Tonight I need to sit down and have a talk
with Cocoa and Sage and explain to them that, preferably, they need to have
their babies on a Monday or a Tuesday between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Lord help us all.
If home life wasn’t chaotic enough, we are in the process of
moving our work office – by ourselves.
The only hitch is, we have moved nearly everything and have to be out of
our current space, but the new building contract has not yet been finalized. This means work from home for a few days –
which would work great for me, but those are the days I have to be on
inspections in my area with the EPA. It
will be stressful to say the least. We
also have a new hire who started last week and since he will also be doing Ag inspections, guess who is responsible for all of his training.
On the farmfront, the roof is done (that's all I am going to say about that little experience),
How does someone get to be this brave?
On the townfront, I dropped price on the house to less than
what I owe and if I can get an offer, hope to try for a short sale. Hope is not the word here, in fact I can’t
think of anything I hate having to do more than that. I am bracing myself for being made to feel
like the lowest scum of the earth by a certain bank with the initials of
WF. Three years of cleaning and showing
and cleaning and showing and dropping the price three times and cleaning and
showing and still nothing. I think I
have done all I can do, and it is the time to do what I have to do. Then there is the fact that if the house
does sell, we actually have to move,
which is a thought that I push right on out of my mind the minute it pops
up. There is a limit on how much I allow
myself to worry about at one time.
Anyway, even the dogs are learning to wipe their feet before they come
in the house as we are doing everything we can to keep the house clean between
showings.
So there you have it friends. I didn’t even mention keeping the business
afloat and thinking of ways to expand locally – such as joining up with Grow
Nebraska. I guess I mentioned it now
didn’t I?
Can’t wait to get out there with my camera again and show
you around.
Rylee has used my camera more than I have lately.
She snuck a photo of me coming back from the barn, being joined by our cat Alex.
Now I am off to visit your blogs and see what I have missed : )
It's good to be back.

Well, I'm glad you're back! :) I was beginning to wonder . . .
Wow, that's a lot of stress you're dealing with - I sure hope things start working out in your favor.
Livie says, "Hey, look at that goose with a ball!!" (She likes it, by the way!) And she likes "Alex," too.
Well, this certainly explains the cheese post!!! Thanks! As if you hadn't already been up to your neck in "lost" cheese!!! Wishing you a most tasty cheese very soon!
Well, all is well now that Moab has a new ball. Seriously, it does seem a struggle sometimes doesn't it? Hang in there.
i know you must feel a bit like a wet rag, but you ARE making progress! fingers crossed on the home sale. i really hope you can get to farm living 100% of the time. and glad your girls are working, but i know that just stretches your time even more...
I will be praying for a quick sale!!
I know you are being pulled so many different directions. You hang in there you are doing a great job!!
Hugs and squeezes..Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham
Oh girl, I so feel for you. You have got a huge load. Wish there was a way to help you out. I'll pray for a short sale and wish you luck. Don't forget to breath and eek out at least a few moments of your day to relax. It won't do you any good to burn yourself out.
I'm so glad you're back!
I am pulling for you on the sale of your house. What a beautiful thing it will be when you can close that book, huh?
It's nice to have you back in Bloggerland! :)
I so hope the house sells soon for you so that you can start being a full-time country girl...
Howdy! So nice to hear from you! Glad the roof's done, I'm sure there's a future post in there somewhere... So hope the house sells soon, I know that's very stressful. Just keep moving forward, everything will work out ok:@)
Well, I don't know how you could fit more on your plate! There is no rule about blogging everyday...don't worry. Hopefully (one day at a time)everything will work out and you can move to the farm. Nice to have you back giving us an update.
Wow and I thought I was busy. I hope that everything works out. Sending you positive thoughts.
I hope and pray your house sells ASAP for you. I don;t know what all exactly is going on - but I am glad you are back. Stay with your friends who love you. sandie
I am really curious to know if the roofer who impressed you with his knowledge and supposed honesty worked out?
We all hope for a sale that is OK with you, soon. The roofer is brave, and so are you working with renovations, in other office places, best of all, I love the blue jacket that look so warm and comforting. Favourite colour. Cheers from Jean
I am sending you all the house selling vibes I can muster! I truly hope it finds a buyer!
Been missing you and wish I could help! I hate painting, but I would do it gladly for someone else. I also snorted on the idea of sitting down with the goats to tell them when to kid!!!! I got the same thing going on here with hectic and today is the day they are starting, BUT, I have a track meet to attend some 1 1/2 hrs away, work deadlines and bottle babies who like their schedule. I still love it though, but timing...its all in the timing!
So glad you did come back; I really enjoy your blog! Hang in, and remember to breathe!
I hope the house does sale- and that everything will work out for you..all that stress is not good for a body- get you some vitamins and take some me time if you can. Moab cracks me up!
I'm glad you decided to keep going Michaele. I know how you feel though...sometimes life just get's in the way of blogging but then again sometimes blogging gets in the way of life. It's hard to find a balance when too much is going on. Good luck with the sale of your house...I remember well what it was like trying to sell our house nearly 3 years ago. And we had moved from the city to a small country town 9 months before we decided to move out INTO the country! All that cleaning and staging...oh my. It looks like a really cute house...hopefully the right people will come along soon. Love the photo of you and Alex :)
Hugs... you have so much on your plate. I'm gonna say a prayer for you & the family tonight.
Take care of yourself, Michaele -- I wish I was there to help you...
Oh I do not know what to say but I love that you are such a strong woman. I admire your strength. You are doing the best you can and it will work out I am sure. Don't put so much pressure on the blogging thing people (like me) still love you and think about you. I am a terrible blogger person also sometimes life does get in the way. That is probably OK.Everyone is in the same boat at one time or another.
Take care B
