It was time for another 12 hr day of water sampling
across northeast Nebraska.
I don't think there was ever a more perfect day for it.
60's, no wind, slightly overcast, no bugs
and all waters easily accessible.
I just love the how busy nature is
in the morning hours.
How it just lives life loud.
Wild turkeys were everywhere.
Rolling hills and back roads.
The newness of spring all around.
Days like these
are long and hard
and worth it.

If you ever need a co-pilot... :)
Wow those are beautiful pics!
Now I feel like I've been to Nebraska -- great photos.
Thanks for showing us your part of the country. Read below about needing a new roof. We have been there and done that. The roof on our indoor was rotten long before it should have been (shingles) and we needed to have it ripped off....replaced it with metal. The only way I would go in the future. Between that barn and the studio, the bill was near $18,000 and required a home equity loan which I am still paying off. Dollar down, dollar a week...ha ha! We have 2 gambrel roofed barns, the indoor, the studio and the house and will be roof poor as long as we live. Join the club.
That was one long road girl! Great photos
where can I find a job like that! Gorgeous photos and I think 12hrs enjoying this Spring we've been having while working outside in it would be just what could fix me up right now! Tax season is starting to wear me out...10 yr plan...10 yr plan. I just keep repeating that...
All great pics! Kinda reminds me though... I haven't had turkey since Thanksgiving, hmmmm... Happy Easter Weekend Michaele-enjoy:@)
Ahhh, I love this post! The nature sounds in the video, the rolling hills/back roads, the turkeys. Thanks for sharing the sights and sounds!
Beautiful photos of spring! Glad you had a nice wind-free day!! We are seeing more turkeys in our area! I wonder what that is a sign of??
I love that first road shot.
Beautiful countryside. Love the picture at the top of the hill looking out across the land.

Wait. What are those hill doing there in Nebraska?!? ;-) Looks like a lovely day!
What a beautiful spring day, even if it was a long one! Loved the sound effects, thanks! :)
Great pictures. I really, really love that rolling road!
Nice shots of the turkeys. Sounds like a nice day for your trip.
I love this time of year! It's funny ...I always thought Nebraska was flat until hubby and I drove down from the Black Hills into Nebraska. I was shocked! I had no idea it was so beautiful. I'd love to live in the rolling hills rather than our flat land but then every place has it's own beauty. Thanks for sharing that video with us...what wonderful sounds and what a wonderful job you have!
