The upside is
the farmers are in the fields.
The downside is
they are spraying Roundup.
The upside is
my flowers have bloomed.
The downside is
prospective buyers will
see them as weeds.
The upside is
I got (more) bantam chicks.
The downside is
I already had enough.
(check out that eyeliner)
The upside is
I got a living, breathing contractor
to call me back about the roof.
His name is Kevin.
I may ask him to leave his wife for me.
The downside is
he hasn't seen the house and
I haven't seen the estimate.
The upside is
Rylee landed her first job
as a hostess at a steakhouse.
And, other than the fact that
she doesn't have her license yet,
there really is no downside to that.
I am SO HAPPY IT'S FRIDAY.

good luck w/ the roof! (and the roofer - ha!) and congrats to rylee!
sounds like you've been keeping busy. Hoping the ups outweigh the downs.
Friday! I hope the estimate isn't too much of a downside!
Congrats to Rylee!
Hoping the scales balance!
Oh, the baby chicks are so cute!
Yep, Friday is good, sure hope the roofer doesn't get lost on the way to your house!
Congratulations on the many ups, bummer on the downs, and applause for seeing the upsides just as much as those unfortunate downs!
I love that you have the herb commonly known as dandelion. I refuse to call it a weed. ;)
Everyone needs a handyman. Hopefully, Kevin can become yours. It could be less worrisome than a marital relationship!
Without Roundup, some crops would cease to exist, I'm told. What a pity!
Now, because of your recent post, I dreamed of snakes in my bathroom, that sacred place of peace and quiet! I hope your feelings of heebie-jeebies can take rest.
Good luck with your daughter's job!
And the chicks~adorable!!!
I daresay you have more ups than downs! Congrats to Rylee - I hope she enjoys it.
Love that your flowers have bloomed :-)
congrats to your daughter...there are always two ways to look at things...I like the way you handled it all...
My heart goes out to you on finding a roofer/handyman. It's always a struggle, isn't it?
Congrats to Rylee! How exciting!
Excellent. The upside is it's Friday. The downside is I'm retired and it doesn't matter much. Ha.
good luck with the roofer and great news for Rylee!
Congrats to your daughter. Hooray!
Good luck with the roofer. I cross my fingers that it won't be an insane number.
And you can never have enough chickens. You just can't.
hmmm...contractors can be useful to have around....
Do you like the bantam eggs? The size difference seems to be significant.
Forget the eyeliner-lovin' that fuzzy butt! I so hope someone falls in love with the house soon, I know it would make things so much easier! ...and if your contractor has a brother, send him east! Happy Weekend:@)
That little chick is just to adorable.
Are you sure the roofer has a wife?
But your chickies are so cute. Can you have too many?
Aww the peeps are so cute. Is there ever too many?
Yay for Riley on the job. That's great!

OOps sorry Rylee I didn't mean to spell your name wrong.

Good luck with the roof. I love the chick. I am getting 5 chicks in the mail Monday and I think I will stop by the feed store or Tractor Supply to see if I can get a couple of ducklings. Your blog on the goose really go me to wanting a couple of ducks. Can ducks eat chick food? I'd better google that.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Congrats to your daughter on her new job! I hope Kevin comes through for the roof repairs and that it isn't too cost prohibitive. Love your flowers in bloom! :)
Good luck with the roof and the $$. sandie
Life is a roller coaster, isn't it? Your little chicks are adorable! And it just so happens that i love dandelions! :-)
Good luck with the roof. I'm lucky to have about every type of contractor as a friend so I generally have no trouble getting help. They also like that I'll generally drop everything and help them when they have a electrical problem.
Yay for Rylee's first job! Camille doesn't have her license or a job yet so Rylee's ahead of us.
I was thinking that you might enjoy some of the recent posts I've done on my other blog since they are of a personal nature. I'm participating in a prompt series from Scintilla and the questions are, well, personal history sorts of subjects. I'm using my less public blog for the exercise; http://hoofprintsinmygarden.blogspot.com/
You are such a cutie. ;)
