On Saturday
we mowed,
both in town
and at the farm,
and planted
frost tolerant crops
in the garden;
peas, spinach, lettuces, turnips, parsnips
peas, spinach, lettuces, turnips, parsnips
and lots of carrots : 0 )
Come to think of it,
not all of us worked.
Some of us were kicked back
or downright lazy
to the point I was afraid rigor mortis had set in.
That's okay - only those of us who worked
got to go see the Hunger Games.
On Sunday
we trimmed goat hooves,
and got the snow tires switched out on the car,
which never needed put on in the first place.
We were also blessed with a visit from Sara.
which is always a hoot : )
She cut the twins bangs while she was here.
There might have been a tear or two involved
but it happens with haircuts and sisters it seems.
Actually, by now, it's all good and that happens with sisters too.

Okay - is it just me - or does your life look wonderful and interesting? sanide
Sitting here laughing at all of your critters!
You are one busy lady!
How come the animals get to sleep while the people get to work? Typical :) B
Sounds like you had a great weekend! (except the lawn mowing part)
It's good to play in the dirt!
I hope you all enjoyed the movie. I probably won't get to see it until it's on the tv.
your seedlings look great! And I love the animal photos!
REally cool stuff going on there! Love your photos!!!
glad you and your girls had a good, productive and fun weekend. :)
Animals have got it right!
What a way to kick off a weekend. But mowing?? Your way ahead of us on the greenery. That is incredible and you trees look to be leafing? I wish wish wish, I had started some seedlings too. How do you fit it all in? I feel like a slug, but I did get some hooves done also, along with worming a few. It took me all day to work up the nerve though, and boy does my back hurt today!
you've worked those critters too hard...lol...love the bubbles...sounds like a nice weekend...
She needs to come my way - no bangs here, but I haven't had a haircut in almost a year. Sigh.
Looks like a great weekend - you all were busy!
Loving this post, Michaele... so carefree and thoughtful. xoxo

Well if we have to fess up... I spent my weekend mostly like the animals! I did make dinner for the boys on Sunday though. Glad you had a nice weekend:@)

We mowed our front lawn this weekend too. The grass seems to be the only thing that has started growing here. Still waiting on everything else.
