My Yukon Gold seed potatoes came in the mail today.
The sweet potatoes should be here any time now.
More chicks today also.
These are the meat chicks.
Speckled Sussex and White Rock cockerels.
I was happy to see they had marked the males.
I really don't need any more laying hens.
The lilacs are blooming.
I love how they smell
and how they wall of the backyard from the
next door neighbors (in town).
Tess wants to know when we are going to the farm.
Not tonight Tess.
We have to babysit.
This little girl is 5 years old
and smarter than I have ever been or ever will be.
She intimidates me.
Looks like Tess is dreaming of the farm.
Once again, I am welcoming the weekend with open arms.
Can't wait to get out there and get tired, dirty and hungry.
Bring it on : )

It must be hard to be wanting to get to the farm - yet having to wait - tomorrow is almost here! sandie
i know you (and tess) will enjoy it! :)
Looks like you are going to have a nice hardworking weekend! Enjoy! The weather has been perfect lately!
So what did you name the little yellow chick, Dinner?
Those little chickies are sweet...
I'll have to try some of those sussex' next year. I will be crossing my white rocks with a cornish rooster ...hoping to get a meat bird I like.
Have a great weekend, getting 'down and dirty'!
Cute chicks.
Hope you, Tess and all have a great weekend.
More baby peeps. Love it!! The more the merrier. I want more too. I think we might hold off on the ducks for a bit and go for more chickens.
I love lilacs too.
Have fun this weekend!

Today is here! Get dirty girl, you've earned it. :)
We have never grown potatoes. When you buy a bag like that, are they organic? Can you grow them without sprays?
You'll find me in the garden this weekend too!
That's cool they marked the males!
YaY for weekends! I love the smell of Lilac... I so need one in my outside crochet corner.
Our lilacs are blooming too! Amazing.
Love how the hatchery marked your roosters. Very smart.
Enjoy your weekend on the farm, Michaele!
