Better Days

Someone wasn't feeling good today
This is all she wanted to do.
Just stand there.
That's all.

This is what she got.

Think of it as liquid vitamins

and yogurt, for us.
Most likely the problem was too much grain and too little hay.
Goats are great hay wasters.
In an effort to get them to clean up some of the old hay,
I didn't give them more, but did give them the usual grain.
I am thinking she just turned her nose up at the old hay
and only ate the grain.
The probiotics and hay should straighten her digestive system out.
I am keeping my fingers crossed.
It's hard enough being pregnant,
let alone sick and pregnant.

I hate it when they are sick.
It consumes me with worry.
We have to take good care of our babies you know.

Hope your Sunday is going well.

My doe, Dottie Belle, got into trouble like that. I had to take her to the vet for a shot of thymine. She went blind and was just gazing at the sky. That's why it is called Star Gazing Polio. She quickly recovered.Sure home yours does. Let me know if the drench works. They do waste hay and that's money to us; silly goats.

I know I hate it when my goats are "off their feed," makes me feel kind of helpless! I hope she is back to herself tomorrow!

I hope everything gets straightened out quickly and I'd stand towards the front, not the back:@)

Hope all is well today! She's too cute to be sick. I know how you feel about worrying when your animals are not well. They don't have the luxury of saying my tummy hurts give me something. I find that it is by trial and error sometimes to get things back on track. Good luck to you and the mommy to be. --------- Shannon
