Ladies in Waiting
Christmas hasn't happened yet
at our house.
But Christmas sales have : )
We are headed out this morning
to buy last minute Christmas gifts
at 75% off.
Now how smart is that?
Our Christmas will officially start
December 27 when
all 5 of my daughters will be here.
Let the countdown begin...
again.
From the looks of your blogs
you all had a wonderful time.
It makes my heart happy.

T'was a Party
T'was the last day of finals and all through the house
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Upstairs were blankets,
pillows and beds;
while movies were waiting to fill up their heads.
Nyla in her splendor and I with my tea
had just settled in to watch some TV.
When what to our wondering eyes should appear
but a minivan packed
with eight sophomores this year.
More rapid than coursers they barged through the door,
discarding coats and shoes on the floor.
They wasted no time but went straight to their gifts.
With oohing and ahhing and a few laughing fits.
Secret Santa was the game and it was a delight;
the gifts for each girl had been selected just right.
Next on the list was eating the goodies:
pizza and sausages, chips, candies and cookies.
Stories to tell and stories to hear.
Some stories were really not for mom’s ear.
The smiles and laughter carried on through the night
I must say these girls, were more than alright.
Then laying a finger aside of their noses
and giving a nod, up the stairses they roses.
Though two floors apart, it remains a riddle
why still,
of sleep,
I got so little.
So, mothers of teenagers, lend me your ear
if a party is something you might try this year.
You are sure to be a hero when all’s said and done,
cuz
GIRLS
JUST
WANT
TO
HAVE
FUN!
Merry Christmas to ALL and to ALL a good night!

Busy Month!
Last week was parents week at dance.
Parents got to come and watch their dancers and meet the teachers.
Rylee has a Modern dance class
and a Hip Hop dance class.
On Sunday, the high school presented their winter concert.
It included choirs, bands and orchestra.
For the finale they all were on stage
along with any alumni who wanted to join in.
Since grandma and grandpa can't be here for the concerts,
each year I record one Christmas song for them.
This is the freshman and sophomore concert band
performing "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas."

Nice Day
Highs were in the mid 50's today in northeast Nebraska.
It was one of those days that make you want to
get out and find some garbage to eat.
Sparkle and Shyne are feathering out nicely.
Sparkle is going to look just like mom
and Shyne, just like dad.
They are very content winter chicks,
making their home in the kitchen.
Did you know a slice of bread
makes a nice mattress for a chick?
Tess's little accident
hasn't slowed her down a bit.
If you look closely, you can see her shaved area
on her side. One more week before the stitches come out.
p.s. Rylee was getting up after being knocked over
by goats who still think they can sit on laps.
Have a great week everyone.
The countdown till Christmas has begun.
