I am not bound for any public place, but for ground of my own where I have planted vines and orchard trees, and in the heat of the day climbed up into the healing shadow of the woods. Better than any argument is to rise at dawn and pick dew-wet red berries in a cup. ~Wendell Berry

Woefully Behind
This is as close as we have come to holiday cheer.
Sounds like we're all about even in the race here... nose to nose..lol! I'll be putting up my tree this weekend and doing some shopping, I was going to go to Frey Meyer's this morning but it is now 07:30 and I just got up so maybe tomorrow when they open at 07:00...

hey, you still might be ahead of me! :)
Boy do I remember those High School Days with my girls in Athletics...argh...it seemed we lived at the school or on a bus...lol
Hang in there...this is more important than decorations.

I hear you!
Gosh! THEY don't even look very cheerful!
Wishing you a joyous Christmas...
I am not much ahead of you. I do hope to get my "holiday cheer" in order this weekend. Just not enough hours in the day.
My youngest son attended Millard West his last year of high school. :)
I am hoping to get my Christmas stuff out this weekend too..
hoping the christmas cheer heads your way...

Nice shot and clever use of "cheer". I used to frequent the high school gym for basketball games, too.
My Christmas decorations this year consist of two short strings of lights. Haven't got the tree up yet. Hope to have it up by Christmas.
I was a cheerleader in 1961-1963. Our skirts were below our knees! Kinda like those bathing suits from the 1920s!
