As for your question about the freedom rangers, I had never heard of them either until my husband said he wanted to try them. I initially did a wikipedia on them, and really liked what I read. We ordered them from a family operation in Pennsylvania that specializes in Freedom Rangers, and they cost the same as the Cornish Roc X chicks that we got from McMurray Hatchery.
We are from similiar places...very creative, wonderfully done.
