Making Friends

I just love meeting people through blogging.
You are all just as real and dear to me as if you lived next door.
You are my friends.
You are my source of information, inspiration, motivation and preoccupation.
I laugh with you, learn with you, cry with you, pray with you and am awed by you.
Thanks for indulging me a moment away from the farm,
to introduce you to a few friends of mine,
whom I owe a big Thank You to
and am a little belated in doing so.

Last weekend, I found this

and this
in my mailbox.

(My real mailbox.  The one that hangs outside my real door.)

The first card was from Sharon
She was one of the winners of my last give-away.
She surprised me by sending me this gift in return.

She had a give-away on her blog a while back and I had
entered to win, but didn't.  Imagine my delight when I saw this!
She makes these pendants and sells them through her etsy shop.

I love her blog.  Not only is it tasteful and artistic but she
just kills me with the Corgis.
You never know when you are going to open her blog and find this:

or this.

Her corgis aren't puppies anymore,
but they are beautiful, smart, entertaining
and thoroughly spoiled.

She is also the creator of Lily.
Lily is my role model.
I LOVE Lily!

She is a size 4,
always elegant and stylish,
solid, unshakable,
forever young,
and spends all her time in the garden.

This is her 4th of July attire.

Thank you Angela, for you blog, your friendship, your corgis
and for Lily.

The second card was from Mary Ann.
She is kindred spirit.
And the proud owner of pugs.

I am not sure why, but every pug owner I know
has, not one, but two pugs and Mary Ann is no different.
She is also a chicken fanatic and I feel like I know all her chickens personally.
In fact, the main reason I kept returning to her blog was because one of her
hens was named Rosewitha.  I just loved the name.  It reminded me of something
my sister and I would have named something when we were kids.
Sadly Rosewitha passed away a few months ago.
But she will be in my heart always.
Mary Ann is a kindred spirit for two reasons,
1) She was a single mom for many, many years and was okay with that.
2)  She and I both, take time off work if we had to,
to run home and check on our chickens
to make sure they were okay in this summer's extreme heat.
Mary Anne, however, was not too embarrassed to say that on her blog.

I had many people ask me if I sold the soaps and lotions that
I offer in the give-away drawings on my blog.
I love to give the products away and don't like to use my
blog for sales or advertising.
But Mary Ann was determined to get a jump on her
Christmas shopping and began emailing me about purchasing.
So, her pug card above contained a check and a thank you.
Thank YOU Mary Ann for your blog,
and your friendship
and of course - your purchase :  )

I just loved how these ladies cards came on the same day,
and were cards with their favorite animals on the front.

I kept wondering where I might find cards with German Shorthaired Pointers on them,
so I could send them out to my friends.

Then I remembered, my daughter had given me these cards just a few months ago.

Ya, that'll do.

Every single pic made me smile! I see folks setting up a "market, shop, or for sale" page/tab all the time:@)

You just brought tears to my eyes.
I think you should sell your items on your blog. Many do. I don't think it would be too distracting. I think a lot of us would love to support you any way we could. At least, I would!

I am glad that you have so many sweet blogger friends and that they send you these cute cards.

Now this is the truth - my two favorite breeds of dogs - Corgi's and Pugs.

Don't you just wish we all lived close to each other so we could all visit and hang out! We'd have such a great time I'm sure!

I just love Sharon too! She is so sweet and those corgi's of hers are just the greatest! I don't know the other lady but I am going to take a peek!

Hugs,
Angela

Oh my goodness! I thought I recognized that card! Thank you, for the beautiful shea butters, Michaele. I'm going to feature them on my blog this week... just haven't gotten a good picture yet. I'm using the orange one daily, it's smells so good!

Thank you so much, Michaele, for the nice post about my blog! I agree that blogging friends are very special. Your blog is so refreshing and I'm always amazed at all the things you're working on.

Lily thanks you too. I've had so much fun with her and have grown quite attached. I check on her whenever I go outside and make sure that her hat is straight and that her dress is in place. She'll be getting a new outfit soon for labor day. She truly has more clothes than I do!

Thanks again!
