While The Girls Are Away...

 A trip to the library
and I didn't make it past the "new arrivals".

For the girls - only 50 cents for the bundle.

A trip to Walgreens.
Dark chocolate for me,

treats for the dogs,

something for later,

I may need it,

and something for lunch.

Hey - I've got a lot to do before I meet up with that
book and bottle.

What did you do today?
.

Looks like a good day - great find on the mags!

I took the boys to Touch a Truck (where we endured crazy heat but they had fun). Got home and downloaded pics/blogged during naptime, did laundry, and tagged/hung a box of the kids' clothes for the fall resale I do each year. I'm boring!

I made sticky buns for coffee with Ma, then a killer tomato salad to post about... of course the dishes are still waiting before I start dinner for the boys tomorrow, but that's why we call them the "lazy, hazy, days of summer"-right?:@)

Love that you're doing something for YOU! I know how hard that can be as a single mom. :)

Big highlight of the day was going to the Dollar Store where I also bought doggie biscuits. Woo-hoo! Crazy woman.

Oh to READ with no interruptions...such BLISS!! Every time I pick up a book these days, I wake up an hour later and realize I'd only gotten through one sentence. Your girls are going to LOVE you for those magazines...what a deal!! :)

Besides the porch, I did laudry, dishes and reorganized my tool closet. We had a power outage and it blew one whole row of wall outlets!

When I sat down to rest, I cut quilt blocks from Hubby's career shirts, gonna make him a memory quilt from his eight years of being the county's emergency manager.

I took pictures and filled in a Ki hole several times.

Don't know where the day went. I much rather have chocolate.

I like the title, "It's Always Personal"...

Wash the chocolate down with the wine.

I'm a little late but I watered...and I watered some more and then 'lo and behold' we got rain! It was only 1/4 of an inch but it was better than nothing and only 1 1/4 miles north of us they reported and inch of rain. NOT FAIR!!!! But I'm not complaining. Looks like you had a GREAT weekend ;) I hope you have a great week too Michaele...
