This is Nyla, our six year old cat
who I almost killed a few weeks ago
with dog flea medicine.
It is a miracle he is still here.
Since then, I have appreciated every single
day with him as well as all the animals at our farm.
I baby them a little more, feed them a little more,
enjoy them a little more, and worry about them dying
all the time.
So, when I see this, and no signs of breathing.
I panic. I just know something terrible has happened.
And then another miracle.

Hi Michaele,
Oh my ...I can understand how you feel especially after going through that flea oil scare. I worry about our critters when I see them out in the yard looking like that especially now with all this hot weather. I hope you got some rain this weekend...we didn't and this is over 30 days of over 100' weather. It's been over that since we've received rain in our area and the crops are dying all around us. I feel bad for the farmers without irrigation. Enjoy your miracle....I'm heading out to do more watering. Have a wonderful week.
Maura :)
Bless your heart. I'm so sorry about the fear you carry in your heart. However, Nyla looks beautiful, happy and content. I'm sure you will have many years together.
He is so handsome!
oh, sweet baby! don't be scaring your momma like that!
LOL .... I'm the same way with my kitty ...he weighs 23 pounds ... very overweight and he sleeps on his back cause he is so fat!
Love him1
Nyla is hilarious! Lying on the back must be genetic. I bet if we search our photos we would find Alex, Nyla and Cami in the same position.
Catt'll fool ya with their possum acts. I don't know if they have 9 lives or not, but sometimes it does seem so.
I have been wondering how Nyla was doing. So happy to see he is ok. What a blessing our pets are to us. It would certainly be a boring place without them.
Have a good week.
Thanks for the update on Nyla, I had wondered how he was doing.
He sure is a handsome fellow!
Girl I totally get it. I do the same thing with my animals... I run over to em to make sure they are alive & I see em layin there soakin up the sun, lol
This made me giggle. I worry the same way about my sweet old kitty who is overweight due to thyroid problems. Sometimes she is in such a deep sleep I can't see her breath that I have to touch her to make sure I still have her. She then gets all disgusted with me and has to rebathe herself before she can go back to sleep. (She is an obsessively clean kitty.)

I DO THIS TOO!! Actually, I did it even before the death of our first critter. I still walk by the rabbit cages and give the cage a tap just to reassure myself.
