Did you know McDonald's has 39 cent
hamburgers every Sunday?
Or should I say - does your dog know?
Mine does.
I stopped by there on my way home from the
farm tonight.
Limit 5.
Okay, one for each of us tonight,
then two more left over for tomorrow,
since I will be putting in a long day water sampling,
the dogs can have an extra treat.
When I got to the window and tried to pay,
the girl said
"The police officer in the car in front of you paid for yours."
I asked why and she said
"Because the car in front of him paid for his."
I said "Well then, how much is the order for the car behind me?"
She said it was $5.61.
I didn't hesitate, I just said "Okay, I will pay for theirs then."
That was gratifying, interesting and fun.
I love random acts of kindness.
I would have liked to find out how long that went on.
I don't care if I paid a dollar for my 39 cent burgers.
There is always next Sunday.

How cool!!! Love stories like this!
I didn't know about the 39 cent burgers! They probably don't do it in West Virginia! lol Everybody in their brother would be going there to get them a burger! lol
That was neat how the police officer paid for yours! I'll bet that the person in front of him was the first one to set off the chain of pay it backwards!
Have a Great Day!
Angela
You know I hear that is something that is going on these days - you're not the first - but how cool was that and so unexpected.
We need to have a pay it forward day.
oh, i LOVE the pay it backwards idea! maybe you've just started something here! (and i LOVE the thought of paying for a cop's lunch!)
Love that story!
Makes me want to think of a random act for tomorrow (Monday).
Thank you for stopping by and for your kind comment. I love your banner photo. What a beautiful farm.
What a very kind and sweet thing to do. Such a simple act, and look at the ripple effect.
Love it when folks do something nice:@)
That is a rarity but an enjoyable one.
Wow, that's so nice.
I think that 39cent burger thing might be regional. Our McDonald's don't do that. :-(
This is one of my favorite things to do. :)
I'm going to have to try that.
What a wonderful surprise and a great way to pay it 'back'!! I hope your day is a good one and you don't melt in this heat...at least you'll be in water...hopefully it's not too GREEN.
Maura :)
What a wonderful surprise!
That is so great & very cool too!!!
Wow this is an incredible story. All you ever hear about is the bad things in the world, I think this should be front line news. I love this world we live in. People are great. B

OMG I love that!
So fun!!! I'd love to know how long it went on, too! :)
