Below are some i took last month.
The ice storm was pretty, but summer is not comming soon enough for me.
Below are some more pictures that I took this month.
The first lady bug that I saw this year ( it might be an aphid)
My sister Rikki and our friends (also twins) marching with our JOOI Club.
This year in high school, I am in yearbook, marching and concert band, and I am in a club at school that volunteers for the community- called JOOI (junior optimist octagon international). For the past 3 years we have done everything from volunteering at the soup kitchen, raising money for childhood cancer, reading to preschoolers, cleaning the food pantry, teaching 2nd graders about acceptance, seat-belt checks, bingo at the nursing home, toys for tots, relay for life and so much more. But just recently we went to Lincoln with JOOI (pronounced joy) for Youth Legislative Day. We got to miss school (yay!) and took the 2 hour drive to Lincoln with 7 other 9th grade JOOI members.
We got free t-shirts.
And listened to speakers.
Then we began our march to the Capital. Youth Legislative Day is all about kids getting involved to help stop underage drinking. We made our signs and set off on the march to the Capital building.
We got be be on the news. But best of all we spread the word to all of Lincoln about underage drinking.
When we got to the capital we ate lunch, talked with senitors, explored the gift shop, then we sat in on meetings about bills being passed. (There was no flash aloud so the pictures didn't have very good quality.)
I thought I would add an old picture of Rikki and I here at the end.
