I buy bread from the discount
bread store for the chickens.
It is their treat and they have come to expect it.
They usually learn to love it as chicks.
It is soft and easily eaten.
Buffy isn't interested in bread.
She prefers her treats to be of the color green.
I don't suppose she would like this bread either.
The girls brought this home from the store yesterday.
It looks like it should have some fruity flavor.
But it doesn't.
We are still having fun just looking at it
and wondering how it was made.
Hope your week is going well,
the sun finally showed itself today.
We basked in it.

that is some interesting 'easter' bread. :) i'm thinking the duck might give that a 2nd look!
hurray for the sunshine!
Food for thought...Our friend who is a vet said...feeding aniamls bread..causes them to die early...sugar diabetes.I know my grandma use to feed her chicken all kind of bread products ...the neighbor owned a bakery...and her chickens never lived past 3 years..they would just die.I don't know maybe someone else knows better than me,Just thought I would pass it on.
How long do chickens live anyhow?

That colorful bread is pretty. All my animals L-O-V-E bread... speakin of bread I need to go get a load, I can get a load that fills my WHOLE van for $6.35. I've only went and done this once & it was so worth it! Thank goodness we have a huge deep freezer. Goat picture is so sweet :)
the chickens look very happy with their treats, and the girls bread looks down right scary! Who on earth thought that one up?
Cindy - I always worried more about the preservatives. In either case, I don't think they get enough to hurt them. Some folks get large quantities of stale bread and feed it in large amounts. I hope my treats are going to kill my chickens. Good food for thought! Thanks
That bread is quite interesting - AND it is pretty and colorful. . .
Hoppy Easter. ♥
Our chickens love bread too. And your goat is just beautiful!
I'm stopping by to say "hi" and to let you know I'm a follower now. I too live in Nebraska. We are in the process of doing what needs to be done to put our city house on the market so we can move to the country. I'll enjoy visiting your blog to learn how country life is done in Nebraska. Neither one of us have ever lived in the country before. Should be interesting.
